      @magnushenriksson6580 In the old love, Sith lightsaber crystals were synthetics forged to be red as part of their tradition. In fact it's entirely possible to create synthcrystals in any color; Luke Skywalker forged a green synthcrystal because he didn't have access to Ilum.

We meet again, at last. The circle is now complete. When I left you I was but the learner. i have a serious question that needs to be cleared up: i thought the reason why exar kun was so reknown and legnendary because of his skills and saber combat USING a UNIQUE DOUBLE SABER this unique saber could lengthen on 1 side and shorten on the other and vice versa i thought this was the reason why his saber was so famous and he was so reknown and legendary maybe this is wrong because he was the first to beat many enemies using a double bladed lightsaber but id like to think that he had a unique saber that could shorten and lengthen and vice versa on either side meaning he had ways of changing distance for his enemies and reach and combat range

    During the lead up to the Clone Wars, with many Jedi studying a lite form of Niman, only getting the basics, they should have had more emphasis on blaster deflection. Considering they thought the Sith were gone, even librarians most likely would have had to deal with being shot at as their greatest threat.

    Isn't Form 5's power strikes a weakness for Form 2? A Form 5 master can just beat through the finesse one handed guards.

    • @DarienJDees
      @DarienJDees День назад

      This is why I would use it together with forms 3 and 6. Soresu is effective for redirecting power strikes and Niman will allow you to mix in force techniques and fight multiple enemies.

    • @casbot71
      @casbot71 День назад

      @DarienJDees I would mix it with Form 5. The most effective counter against your Form 2 is another Form you are skilled in, so that weakness can't be exploited. And.... Form 5 can also fully utilise the curved hilt. In fact, it allows unorthodox angles, so it's harder to defend against a Form 5 Djem So user wielding a curved hilt, and they can apply more power with it as well. So, in effect, you would be transitioning between one - and two-handed styles as needed, both optimised for the same curved hilt lightsaber. Utilising different styles that are optimised for different types of lightsabers would be less intuitive. And Form 5s second component Shien was great for dealing with blaster fire, the most common threat to Jedi. While Form 3 Soresu was excellent at defending against blasters, reflecting shots back at the firer could be considered a better defence as it immediately took out the threat of follow-up shots. Both styles would cover most contingencies without having to train extensively in other styles. Form 6 is always useful for its flexibility, but it can be an afterthought in this mix.... or the original style you practised until you felt out what best worked for you. Assuming you're not from a small species, of course. While Forms 2 & 3 could in theory be a powerful combination in that both are very energy efficient so you would be able to outlast your opponent(s) and not tire yourself out (and it used to be my favourite combo for that reason, so you're not gassed out when you meet the BBEG), there's still the above mentioned issue of which lightsaber hilt do you use?

    • @DarienJDees
      @DarienJDees День назад

      @@casbot71 i agree that forms 2 and 5 meld well together-especially considering the ergonomic benefits of a curved hilt. It's just that, based on this statement made by Briana Sal Soren in her guide to form 5, I concluded that I don't qualify for the form: "Be aware that mastering Form V demands an immense amount of stamina, as it is specifically designed to counter multiple opponents or projectiles simultaneously. This necessitates considerable physical strength and stamina from the practitioner. Hence, before choosing this form as your primary lightsaber style, take time for introspection - assess your physical prowess and emotional resilience. It's fine if this form doesn't align with your abilities; the Order offers a myriad other lightsaber styles that will be better suited to your talents." I don't have the stamina or physicality for it so I'm resigned to forms 2, 3, and 6 😅. Now, if I were a Wookie or Anzati or something, then I'd have no issue and would employ a similar approach to what you described.

  • @casbot71
    @casbot71 20 дней назад

    The issue with the opening salute to your opponent is it temporarily blinds you due to having a incredibly bright plasma blade held directly in front of your eyes. _"As a fellow gentleman, could you please wait a few minutes for the strobing after-images in my eyes to fade?"_

    • @MusicFan752
      @MusicFan752 18 дней назад

      I hate exar kun but I do see him beating zannah. His fighting style I do see being too much for zannah to deal with, she can hold well for awhile but with how kun switching styles alot would give zannah a difficult time, especially when he breaks out his "oh so special" saberstaff. As for force abilities.....is there really anything zannah can exploit from kun in terms of mind tricks and what not like she did with bane??? Again I hate kun but in terms of mental fortitude I don't think there's anything for her to work with unless say he's developed a fear of freedon nadd or vodo siosk baas. Where as kun has more or less a full arsenal of sith spells and sorcery to work with thanks to his force gauntlets.

    Lord Vindican is definitely one of my new favorite Sith Lords and Force Users. He has such a perfect style that I admire, being so adept at defending and riposting even against a superior duelist and wise warrior. I firmly believe that Kao Sen Durach would have beaten Vindican in a vacuum but it’d be a very long and drawn out battle. Mustafar duel levels, Vindican’s occasional wins due to Durach tiring out. Vindican’s stamina is inhuman, very similar to Kenobi in that sense. The fact that after being impaled he CRAWLED a significant distance without any help or treatment from his stab wound to the end of the hanger is baffling. His stamina wasn’t limitless but pray for those who would attempt to wear him down in a war of attrition. Definitely deserves a lot of praise and respect for being a politician/Inquisitor and still having an INCREDIBLE ability as a martial artist. I hope we see more of him because he’s an amazing character even though shortly lived. Similar to Qui-gon in a way.

    Honestly I don’t like post resurrection Krayt because of the lack of limitations. Luke Skywalker imo being the only exception because he had EARNED it all. Every battle, lesson, loss, and win came together in harmony. He was grandmaster BECAUSE he did damn near everything to make it possible. Krayt got resurrected without his parasite, essentially making him super powerful without earning it, were he to purge it himself or go under the knife, I’d accept his power increase and think it was perfect. He essentially got his “all powerful” form through deeds of others but is treated as if he deserves it. Even Palpatine’s clone wasn’t as perfect to the same degree as Krayt is. It also undercuts his whole character, carving his own path and Sith order only to become another typical Sith. All his motivations and reasonings get thrown out the window because he is no longer the man that built his empire. Now a hypocrite and almost not noteworthy leader of the Sith. Everything that made him special now gone.

    Interesting take, while it was kind of prescient in recognising that the new movies likely wouldn't be great I think your original premise is a bit backwards. Star Wars were originally conceived as movies, without George Lucas there would be no Star Wars and the original trilogy was excellent. George worked well with other creators in setting them off to have comics and books tell new stories and to have someone in Lucasfilm oversee continuity and keep George in the loop to suggest and to veto. Lucas made a second trilogy and as the original creator we should all be very interested in him doing that and there is plenty of rich imagination in those movies. I think Lucas created an ideal environment for the EU to flourish and he did provide support and guidance. I think it's fine that people might come to love the EU more than the movies, but it is secondary to them and would not have come about without them. There was also a lot of good EU content spawned by the prequel movies. Also I'd say there is plenty of good novel fantasies or science adventures, but as movies Star Wars are pretty much in a class of their own.

  • @GoogleWhiz540
    @GoogleWhiz540 Месяц назад

    Yeah… While I get the Original Trilogy had some brittle ‘80s choreography (by modern standards), I find it ironic how Vader’s best feats happen outside of it (for the reasons you mentioned). Even more ironic is how Disney of all people portrays Vader as scarier and more badass than the OT did, making him more than just the slow, occasionally clumsy, half-man and half-machine muscle tank the average viewer might see him as at first glance. Of course, Vader’s defensive lapses still come up at the worst possible times (the most iconic being in his duels with Luke, as you said). On the other hand, Vader himself would be well aware of this, so part of me wonders if he’s actually okay allowing his opponent score glancing blows sometimes? After all, he can definitely take the hits, and it also gives Vader the opening he needs to retaliate tenfold (such as cutting off Luke’s hand after Luke tapped his shoulder). Unfortunately, I think this would be a liability against someone like Count Dooku (as Rico Chico Malico pointed out in his own versus video). For one, Dooku specializes in dancing around opponents, bypassing their defenses and nicking them with precise cuts. So, while Vader is more than fair competition (especially since Vader has preexisting familiarity with Dooku), the Count would still nick Vader’s armor a few times before Vader overwhelms him with his sheer endurance and brutal Djem So barrage.

  • @judevernichter2.0

    I agree,Bane was simply a more complete character than Vader. Vader's cripple status hinders him badly against someone who did reached his maximum potential without physical impairment like Bane,Vader would be in serious trouble if he faced the Sith'ari in combat.

    No way. Vader may be “an untiring cyborg killbot” but he’s still far too slow to keep up with Yoda, and he’s also not as powerful as Yoda. This would be like a human vs a fly. Have you ever tried swatting at a fly and missing and now you have no idea where the fly is? If you hit the fly, it’s over, but that’s really hard to do because they’re so fast. Yoda could be behind Vader and stab him through the back, not before Vader can mentally react, but waaaay before Vader could physically react. His suit simply makes him too slow to beat Yoda. No disrespect to Darth Vader, but I truly believe this fight would be over in less than a minute.
